The production is based on the writings of Vasile Alecsandri, centring around the famous character Chirița Bârzoi. The audience will rediscover the topicality of Alecsandri’s work through Maia Morgenstern’s delightful performance. The wordplays and witty jokes, the mixture of Hellenized Moldavian, Franco-Romanian jargon, patriarchal manners, and innovations of Western luxury recreate a charming space to today’s public.
