This biographical volume is conceived in the form of a dialogue between the writer and journalist Ion Moldovan and the actress Virginia Rogin, a native of Neamț county and a name resonant in the annals of the Theatre of Youth, where she acted from 1977 to 1981, as in those of the Odeon Theatre, Bucharest, where she has worked since 1987.
Virginia Rogin’s recollections of her childhood, her schooldays in Bacău, her time as a student under Professor Dem Rădulescu, the years she spent at the Theatre of Youth, and her peregrinations by way of various other theatres offer interesting information regarding the history of Romanian theatre. However, above all they reveal with humour and feeling sequences from the private life and stage experience of an exceptional artist, gifted not only with talent, but also with a great capacity for hard work, with tenacity, and with a good dose of optimism.
