The installation is part of the project ‘ceva Tehnic+’, and represents the final stage of the exercise and practice of a programme of initiation and professional training in the field of digital art, involving twelve teenagers from Neamț county with a passion for the technical side of a performative act (light, sound, and video). The teenage members of CEVA have taken part in a series of residential courses coordinated by the artists Costi Baciu, Kira Semionov, Dr0mp, and Raul Coldea, and have put their knowledge to the test in an event to promote the community histories surrounding three spaces/buildings in the city of Târgu Neamţ. The focus of this event is directed towards the Children’s Palace in Piatra Neamţ. The installation aims to highlight the affective history (partly forgotten) of a space that is relevant to the collective memory of Piatra Neamț, thus trying to answer a number of questions: What memories connect us to this space? How important was and is this space in the community? What stories does this space conceal and what defining transformations has it seen? How do we reconcile the past with the present?
