Marionettes and actor-puppeteers recompose grand history through little history: they invite their very young audience on a trip through four past ages, to show them how the children of the past lived, how they perceived the world of adults, and what sort of relations they had with their parents. A production in which the customs of the past are presented in a winning way and from a suitable distance for them to be questioned by a young, emerging public, The Story of Childhood invites its audience not only to discover but also to imagine, not only to look back with curiosity, but also to go forward with a mentality more open than that of their predecessors.
