After a teacher proposes to the children the notion of a break, their parents are alarmed and complain about her to the Ministry, which provides her with a pair of glasses (‘blinkers’, one might say). Suddenly transformed into a severe pedagogue, she loses touch with her pupils, who are of an age (and generation) with questions that call for new and formative answers. The production is addressed both to little ones and to the grown-ups accompanying them, who will enjoy together an interactive musical with a happy ending; the bafflement of the child in the title will receive answers with the help of the children in the audience, who are thus drawn into a different sort of lesson than those taught at school. A story easy to follow, and joyful play with a connection to the—not always simple—reality of today’s children.
