These two monodramas, written, directed, and performed by Simona Semenič, reflect the challenges in the field of health care, following the thread of an autobiographical story. The artist shares her experience regarding various illnesses, some of them serious, like epilepsy, and her confrontation with the deficiencies of the healthcare system. i, victim had its premiere at the 13th edition of the Festival of Contemporary Art—City of Women, Ljubljana, 2007, and the second time at the 20th edition of the same festival, in 2014. The two productions, created seven years apart, deal both with the ongoing confrontation with the worsening of one’s own illnesses and with the problems of the healthcare system.
