In the first year of the pandemic, a young team in an independent theatre tries to stage a show about the ruptures that exist between the artistic visions of different generations, together with a director from a different generation. Zoom meetings, failed drafts, and the effort of carrying on a real dialogue, together give rise to a torrent of theatrical forms, a feverish search, not without humour, for answers to rhetorical questions.
The production was created as part of the cultural programme Decalaj. Narațiuni Intergeneraționale (Timelag: intergenerational narrations), and was conceived as a meeting between generations with different ways of thinking about life and about theatre.
Since its opening in 2014, REACTOR de Creație și Experiment in Cluj-Napoca has set out to promote young artists and contemporary dramaturgy, to provoke discussion of current themes, and to develop its public. It is a catalyst of the creative energies of the city of Cluj, a place where artistic experiment is encouraged through freedom of expression.
