This production began as an exploration of what ART means for the group of young people making up the CEVA theatre troupe, but also for the community to which it belongs.

Why art? What is art? Are we making art? Are we interested in making art the way people expect us to make art? What is my art? What will art look like in the future? Why is one art more art than another? These are some of the questions that they asked themselves in order to tell the imagined story of art in their town, in a personal, subjective way, with music, enthusiasm, and rebellion.

Founded in 2018, the CEVA Performing Arts Educational Centre is a space of creation and critical thinking that seeks to reactivate the local community culturally and to offer professional prospects to the young people involved in its activities. CEVA uses the specific instruments of the performing arts (theatrical productions, festivals, exhibitions, visual installations, concerts, etc.) to explore themes that are important in contemporary society, correlating them with the realities of their own local community. CEVA is the Romanian acronym of Community, Education, Future, and Art: the focuses of the activities that the Centre organizes together with the young people involved.
