Your’re seventeen and you’ve got get pregnant. Your whole life changes and everyone wants you to take adult decisions, while you’re still called “poppet”. How can you take care of someone when it’s hard, sometimes, to take care of yourself. Suddenly you’re the principal character: family, friends, schoolmates, strangers, teachers, doctors: everyone knows what’s best for you. Everyone has their own variant in which they can see you fulfilled. And at the end of the day, the decision is only yours: will you or will you not become a mother?
The production is an invitation to reflection for Romanian society, where the theme of adolescent sexuality is still taboo at the level of family and school, although statistics place Romania in first place in the EU for the number of unwanted pregnancies among minors.

Time: 1h 50 min
The performance is part of the #SAFESPOTT project, promoting a safe space for educational debate on topic of diversity and tolerance. The three performances in this project, based on texts selected following a dramaturgy competition, are produced by teams composed of professionals under 35 (director, set designer, sound/video designer) supported by volunteer assistants (high school students), thus able to work with producing a performance from text stage reading to the premiere.
