Analysing almost forty productions of the last fifteen years, the book has been conceived in two directions. The first deals with stagings that treat the themes generated by the explosion of means of communication in the virtual space, by the mutations to which these give rise in contemporary sensibility and our perception of the world. The second examines the ways in which the new media have been used in the Romanian theatre of recent years: video-projection, digital sound, installation-space, intelligent lighting, theatre of objects, disco-silent, holograms, etc. Interviews with creators who have developed multimedia artistic formulas provide conceptual and technical explanations of an ever-moving inter-disciplinary phenomenon. Conceived as an album, the book gives an important place to illustrations and photographs of the productions analysed.
